Time's up!!

Does it make sense that when we die – that’s it?

There has to be something else. We know that our bodies are just a vessel in which our spirit or soul lives – whatever that may be. But when we shed this mortal coil, is that the end of what made us what we were?

When you think about the wisdom of the greatest people in history, the brilliance, the genius, is it logical to think that as part of the 'great plan', when they die, that's it.

An alternative explanation is certainly not evident and so what else can we believe in? Most people 'feel' we have a soul or spirit, but do they believe this is simply a complex interaction of the synapses of our brain?

We know however there are many accounts of 'near death' experiences and that most echo the concept of travelling down a long 'tunnel' with a bright white light at the end. Those who reach the end of the tunnel and are taken into the light recall a sensation of great peace and also beauty. That's as far as they go though, because they come back before going any further. So what does this prove? Nothing, but the similarities must have some significance.

There are may theories about what happens when we die, many comfort us and we often need that comfort.

If however there is a God, and everything else in this part of the site argues that there is, it is God's will that there is more to our existence than this life on earth. As God allows us, we have a choice as to what we believe.
