The Church Hall
The church is proud of it's new and modern parish hall, which is used for a variety of activities, both related and unrelated to the church. These activities, which are detailed on a separate page, hopefully offer something of interest to all, irrespective of age.
The Parish Hall is available for private functions,
children's birthday parties, receptions, etc., at very reasonable rates.
The building primarily comprises an ample and comfortable lounge,
main hall, central corridor and kitchen which provides full catering
facilities. Both venues may be accessed separately from the corridor.
The entrance also has a security door, which prevents unauthorised access.
The main hall was completely redecorated during 2005/6.
The lounge has seating accommodation for up to 50 people, including small
children. There are also two separate serving hatches which open directly
to the lounge. One of these hatches accesses the kitchen area and the other
links to a separate room, which is ideal for use at functions for serving alcohol.
Being a recently constructed building, the lounge has power
points sited throughout to accommodate all requirements.
The lounge area is ideal for smaller gatherings and functions where a warmer and more intimate atmosphere is appropriate. The lounge fulfils this need extremely well whilst still providing access to the ample and generous facilities of a modern kitchen.
Access to the lounge is through either of the double doors shown in the photo opposite, through a further double door on the left of the picture opposite(not shown) and also from a separate door providing more direct access to the kitchen and a fire exit.
The main hall has a full stage with ample power points and adequate
seating for all occasions. Tables are also available for exhibition
stalls, displays and other purposes.
Naturally, the hall hosts regular
jumble sales, Christmas and Summer fairs for which it's generous size
provides spacious accommodation for the many stalls, games, etc.
In addition to the usual church activities, the hall also hosts: productions by amateur dramatics groups, teenager's parties with or without a DJ, dance troupe rehearsal sessions, etc. Fully functioning central heating in the hall, also guarantees the venue will be comfortably warm, even on those cold Winter days and evenings.
